Lectors and Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion play an important role in the life of the Church. Lectors proclaim the Word of God at Mass, helping the faithful hear and reflect on Sacred Scripture. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion assist in the reverent distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ, distributing the Eucharist to the faithful during Mass and, when needed, to the sick and homebound.
